Well, we are just back from our third stay at the Vagabond and I’ve got to say we’ve had another GREAT STAY!!
The first thing we noticed was the new bar area…. it’s been extended, the number of wines, local whiskies and ales on offer must have trebled! The husband enjoyed several well priced ales in the bar whilst I sampled a couple of wines with Mark, the manager….well it would be rude not to! Every time we come back to the Vag we are treated like long lost family members, it’s great. This time we stayed for dinner too and we can heartily recommend the Chunky Chilli Beef, beautifully tender and plentiful!
We were in room 3 this time. The flooring has all been updated as have the beds, bedding and curtains. We were always happy enough with the standards for the price we were paying but it really does make the Vagabond stand above other hostels when you are tucked up in freshly laundered Next bedding if you please!!
As usual, a hearty breakfast set us up for the day all though our time at the bar meant we didn’t feel up to climbing Snowdon on day one..a quick run up Llyn Elsi blew away the cobwebs and set us up for round 2 lol.
We did get up the mountain on day 2 and as usual Mark and Cally made sure they know what route we were taking and when we expected to be back. It’s reassuring to know they look out for you! CAn’t believe you let me away with calling you Kelly all this time, apologies CALLY! xx
Overall, another fabulous stay, thanks so much for always making us so welcome, love you guys!! xxx
