I’ve been going here for some years now but in October had a great time there!! Mark the manager is fantastic so accommodating and very helpful nothing is too out of the way for him to help and also Cally the receptionist makes a great breakfast the place is just what you need where you want a budget but cosy well run hostel… Excellent

Stayed October 2014, travelled solo

β€œGreat stay and some serious merriment :-)”

Had a great stay at the Vagabond with a friend a few weeks back. We were over in Wales to do a bit of cycling at Antur Stiniog, which is literally 10 mins down the road.

First night we sorted ourselves out, nothing to complain about, nice clean and well presented bunkhouse/hostel type arrangement.

The next night, well what can I say πŸ™‚ great laugh, great bunch of people, an all round random brilliant night.

Good hearty breakie in the morning, although for purely self inflicted reasons it did feel a little early haha πŸ™‚ I’m sure that I could blame Mark (owner) due to his random divying out of shots, but hey I didn’t need to drink them πŸ™‚

Will definitely be back.

Finally, I’m not sure where folk got Basil Faulty from but Mark certainly is a character, However like Basil it’s in the good sense of the word πŸ™‚

Cheers,
John.

Great value, hostel-type accommodation. Stayed for 2 nights whilst MTBing on the Marin trail and canyoning. Really close to Betws-Y-Coed pubs and shops. Round the corner from bike centre and Seren Adventures. Bike lock up, free Wi-Fi and a good hearty breakfast all make this ideal accommodation for anyone considering a similar activity-based trip. Oh – and free tea and coffee!!

Stayed September 2014
